It was only a year back when we were all raving about the ice bucket challenge. Multiple celebrities were seen taking part in the challenge and some even would pass the buck on to some other celebrity .However this year we have seen the Mannequin challenge coming forth and gaining popularity.

For those of you who are still unaware, the Mannequin challenge is when a group of people freezes like a mannequin and that is recorded in video form. While music plays in the background people stay frozen and later that video is uploaded with the hashtag #Mannequin challenge. One thing that stays common in most of these clips is that the music used is almost same in all i.e. Rae Sremmurd’s Black Beatles featuring Gucci Mane.

This craze started in the month of November 2016 and slowly many people got hitched onto the bandwagon. Until now thousands of people have recorded their own renditions of the same and posted on YouTube. While it was teenagers who recorded first such videos it was last month only that Gucci Mane recorded his own Mannequin challenge.

So far a lot of people have joined in this viral challenge and some of them are:

Celebrity stars who visited the white house to receive their Presidential medals of freedom from Ex-president Barack Obama. These include popular names like Robert de Niro, Miley Cyrus, Tracee Elis Ross and Ellen DeGeneres.
Christino Ronaldo and the Portuguese football team
England Striker Jamie Vardy and subsequently the Spanish football team.
X factor presenters Nicole Scherzinger,Louis Walsh,Matt Terry and Honey G
Blac Chyna took part in the challenge while she was in labor about to give birth to her daughter Renee.
Hours before the US election were about to be conducted Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Bon Jovi took part in their own mannequin challenge. This video was then posted on Hillary’s twitter account.
